ST. LOUIS (KSDK) - Steven Jackson will be joining the Atlanta Falcons. The free agent running back came to terms on a three-year contract with the team on Thursday.
Jackson voided the final year of his contract with the Rams after nine seasons with the team. He played in 131 games with the Rams and rushed the ball 2,395 times for 10,135 yards and 56 touchdowns.
The three-time Pro Bowler rushed for 1,000 yards in eight consecutive seasons with the Rams.
The St. Louis Rams are left with options at running back. They selected Isaiah Pead and Daryl Richardson in the 2012 NFL Draft and signed Terrance Ganaway as a free agent.
