ST. LOUIS (KSDK) -- St. Louis Police are investigating a violent home invasion in the city's Mark Twain neighborhood.
Officers were called to a home in the 5300 block of North Kingshighway just after 12:30 a.m. Thursday.
A woman who lives at the home, tells police she just got inside the house when there was knock at her door. She recognized the female that was knocking. When she opened the door, the female and three males, all armed with guns, forced their way inside the home.
The victim told police, the three males were hitting her with the weapons, while the female was ransacking the house. The four intruders took cash before leaving the home.
A short time later, police found a 15-year-old male hiding in a nearby dumpster. He was identified by the victim as on of the intruders. The 15-year-old is the only one in police custody at this time.
The 49-year-old victim was taken by ambulance to a hospital where she is listed in stable condition.
