St. Charles police looking for Golden Corral armed robbery suspect

ST. CHARLES, Mo. (KSDK) - The St. Charles Police Department is investigating an armed robbery at a local restaurant Wednesday night.

Police say the Golden Corral, located in the 1800 block of Zumbehl Road, was robbed around 11 p.m.

According to Officer Erik Lawrenz, an employee had locked up the store and was walking to his vehicle in the parking lot when the suspect came up behind him with a gun.

The employee was ordered by the suspect to give him all of his money. The suspect took personal items from the victim and then ran from the scene.

The suspect is described as a black male standing between 5'9" and 5'11" tall with a medium build weighing between 170 and 180 pounds. He was last seen wearing a dark-colored zip up hoodie with the hood up and a gray scarf covering most of his face.
