ST. LOUIS (KSDK) - The hole from a water main break is expected to be repaired ahead of the St. Louis St Patrick's Day parade and will not impact the route.

The hole is between 16th and 17th streets on Market. The massive water main break happened Wednesday night and damaged the road.

Crews have been working quickly to repair it so it will be finished in time for Saturday's parade and run, which are scheduled to go through the area.

Crews have to still pave the street, but that work could be completed by 2 p.m. Friday.

St. Patrick's Day parade director Joe Milligan said they always have a plan B but don't think they will need it this year.
