SUNSET HILLS, Mo. (KSDK) - The staff at a local MERS/Goodwill is trying to find out who left a $5,000 donation in their drop box earlier this week.

The Sunset Hills Goodwill store, located in 10125, is working with its loss prevention to identify the donor, since they believe the money was donated by accident.

An employee at the Sunset Hills location discovered the large cash sum while going through the donation drop on Thursday.

After reviewing surveillance video from the scene, the store suspects the donation was made Wednesday, March 13 between 2 p.m. and 5 p.m.

Anyone with knowledge of this incident is asked to contact MERS/Goodwill at 314-982-8802.

If the money is not claimed after 30 days, it will go towards MERS/Goodwill programs.
