ST. LOUIS COUNTY (KSDK) - The Missouri Department of Transportation will begin lane closures Monday night on southbound Interstate 270 as part of the widening project.
Lane closures will be implemented between Manchester Road and I-44 to allow for work during non-peak hours.
The barrier wall will go into place Monday night, weather permitting. It will begin at Dougherty Ferry Road and continue north of I-44 and stay in place for around seven months.
Michelle Voegele, a MoDOT engineer, says there will be 15 minute delays twice a day beginning April 1 to allow for blasting, which will occur on weekdays for approximately two months.
The construction on southbound I-270 should be complete by December.
