VATICAN CITY (KSDK) - NewsChannel 5 Photojournalist Jim Tuxbury was in Rome for the Pope's installation Tuesday, and he wasn't the only person from St. Louis who witnessed this moment in history.
Jim caught up with Deacon Chris Seiler, a Maryland Heights native studying in Rome. Seiler participated in Tuesday's mass.
"I was able to help distribute communion, so to be able to have very close seats and then be able to go out and to take the blessed sacrament to the thousands of people who were here was amazing as you able to walk out and see everyone who was here it was beautiful," said Deacon Seiler.
It's estimated that hundreds of thousands of people packed St. Peter's square for the event.
