ST. LOUIS (KSDK) - The plight of a 3-year-old girl seriously injured in a crash Saturday is capturing the attention of Twitter nation.
Natalie Hart remains hospitalized at SSM Cardinal Glennon with serious injuries. The crash happened in St. Charles on West Clay near Kingston Terrace Court.
Like many 18-year-olds these days, Natalie's Twitter-savvy cousin took to social media with her story.
And Marissa Love can't believe the response.
"Me and my friend Kendall we went and tweeted, and we put #prayfornatalie," said Love. "And then all my friends started doing it and all my friends started re-tweeting it. And people started asking me like, 'Who's Natalie?'"
So she told Natalie's story on Twitter.
"People from every school around started tweeting and re-tweeting. It was crazy. I can't even explain how many people tweeted and re-tweeted and spread the word. Then it got onto Instagram and everything. It was really big," she said.
Natalie's parents cannot be with her because they too are hospitalized. Police are investigating the crash. Anyone who witnessed it is asked to call St. Charles police or CrimeStoppers at 636-949-3333.
