ST. LOUIS (KSDK) - A section of Skinker reopened to traffic Friday morning after a 60-year-old woman was struck and killed near Forest Park.
According to Schron Jackson, spokeswoman for the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department, the person was hit just before 6 a.m. in the area of the Versaille and Dorchester high rises.
The victim, identified as Charlotte Cunningham, was crossing the street and struck by a vehicle. Cunningham was transported to the hospital where she was pronounced dead a short time later.
The person driving the vehicle stayed at the scene and has been cooperating with police, Jackson said.
