ST. PETERS, Mo. (KSDK) - St. Charles County got some of the heaviest snow in the metro area, with some towns receiving over 13 inches.
Car dealerships are some of the best spots at night to get an idea of how much snow has fallen, and just about anywhere you walk you see about a foot of snow on the ground, with drifts almost to your knees.
It's the kind of snow you almost hate to walk in and mess up.
It's quite the winter wonder land if you don't have anywhere to be and can't just stay inside and enjoy it. But, if you're like Mr. Hill and his son and you're out shoveling the drive way so mom can get her car out, lift with your legs, says Mr. Hill; this is a wet and heavy snow.
The good news is, he says, is that there is no ice underneath the snow.
Before sunset the roads were not too bad, but there was a lot of slush and we did see a couple of cars off the road.
Another inch or two of snow fell overnight in many spots and up to an additional inch is possible during the day Monday.
