ST. LOUIS (KSDK) - NewsChannel 5's I-Team has uncovered serious flaws with Missouri's sex offender registry.

Last week we started digging for information about sex offender Samwell Fowler. He should have registered five years ago, but never did. Nobody looked for him.

Fowler was arrested this month for allegedly offering to pay two young girls for sex.

The I-Team started asking how many Samwell Fowler's are out there.

The Missouri Highway Patrol told the I-Team it would have the information for us in one day. Three days late, a spokesperson e-mailed saying it is not possible to determine the number of unregistered sex offenders.
