(KSDK Sports) -- The St. Louis Blues beat the trading deadline, today, with one more move for the future. They traded defenseman Wade Redden to Boston for a 7th round pick next year.
Nice business move considering the fact, that, when the blues picked up Redden he hadn't played in the NHL since 2010.
The Blues were on the practice ice, this morning preparing for their visit to play Chicago tomorrow.
The team made other deals before the deadline. They picked up two draft picks and two defensemen, Jay Boumeester and Jordan Leopold. The players believe the acquisitions make them a better team.
