ST. LOUIS (KSDK) - A north St. Louis argument over a cigarette has left a man hospitalized in critical condition and another man in police custody.
Police say around 8:45 p.m. Monday they responded to a call for an assault and cutting in the 3900 block of Kennerly Avenue.
That's where investigators located the 33-year-old victim, who had been struck in the head with a glass plate and then stabbed in the chest.
The 52-year-old man alleged to have assaulted the victim with the plate was taken into custody.
No names have been released and the investigation is continuing.
