ST. LOUIS (KSDK) - A St. Louis man has pleaded guilty to carjacking and weapons charges.

Court documents state a man was sitting in his parked Dodge Durango in front of his business in the 4100 block of Lee on October 22, 2010 when 21-year-old Leon Jackson approached him, pointed a semi-automatic weapon at him, and demanded the victim's keys.

Jackson told the victim he would kill him if he did not comply.

The victim began to struggle with Jackson over the firearm, but eventually gave Jackson the keys to his SUV.

As Jackson drove the stolen SUV from the scene, the victim pulled out his own gun and shot at Jackson.

Jackson was arrested and later identified by the victim.

He pleaded guilty to one felony count of carjacking and one felony count of possession of a firearm in furtherance of a crime of violence.

Jackson faces up to 15 years in prison and fines up to $250,000.
