SCOTT AIR FORCE BASE, Ill. (KSDK) - The lockdown at the Air Mobility Command Headquarters at Scott Air Force Base was lifted Wednesday morning.
A spokesperson in the Public Affairs Office said the building was placed on lockdown after receiving reports of an individual carrying a weapon. They would not say if this person was inside or outside the building.
No members of the unit were allowed to enter or exit the building during the lockdown.
The spokesperson said security forces responded, cleared the building and allowed for normal operations to resume.
The office did not have any additional information regarding how the situation was resolved.
No arrests were made, the spokesperson said.
