LADUE, Mo. (KSDK) - There's an update on Ladue's so-called "ugly list."

In January, we told you about the list that was posted on the social media site Instagram. It shows pictures of Ladue Middle School students along with insulting captions.

Ladue police say they've gotten the first person, who went by the name "ladues_ugliest" on Instagram.

It's a juvenile and does not go to school in the district. No charges were filed because according to police, no laws were broken.

School officials were contacted in January by students who'd seen the pictures.

The first from "ladues_ugliest" was pictures with insulting comments.

The second post came from "ladues_ugliest1" with more pictures, a threatening message and a cover picture of the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooter.

Ladue police don't believe these were posted by the same person.

That this kid is not being charged drew some frustration from Tina Meier, whose daughter Megan committed suicide in 2006 after being bullied online.

"The problem is of course we don't want to have to prosecute teenage children, children in elementary, middle, and high school," Meier said. "We don't want their future and all of that destroyed. But the problem is this: by their actions and the things they are doing they are destroying other young lives. So there has to be a balance. There has to be a balance where there's not a zero tolerance on one end but it's not also a detriment to the emotional well being of other children when they're in school."

Ladue School officials would not talk to us on camera since the kid behind the post is not a Ladue student.

They do tell us that this provided a teachable moment for everyone: that anything you post on social media can be used for a purpose other than what you intended.
