Lambert-St. Louis International Airport cancels some flights

ST. LOUIS COUNTY (KSDK) - Lambert-St. Louis International Airport is reporting there are currently 30 arrivals and 31 departures that have been cancelled due to the weather.

On Thursday, much of the area received heavy rain, which caused flooding in some areas.

The Clarksville area is asking for volunteers to help sandbag in order to help save the town.

If flood waters reach the post office and a well-known area lumber company, they will not reopen.

neighborhood in East St. Louis has been evacuated after a tree fell on a dam, preventing water from going to the appropriate areas.

Near Valle Lake in the De Soto area, some residents have been evacuated as a precaution after water started flowing down the Valle Lake Dam spillway.
