ST. CHARLES COUNTY (KSDK) - St. Charles County officials are urging citizens in the city of West Alton to take precautions because water levels are expected to top the levee by Monday morning.

Riverview at Highway 94, Peruque Creek Road, Firma Road, Dalbow Road, Island Road at train tussle, Wilson Road, Lakeview, Grafton Ferry Road at Portage, and Sioux Drive are all flooded.

The entrance road leading to Hideaway Harbor Park in Portage des Sioux is not accessible.

Additional flooded roads:
· Alta Villa: water over road
· Harbor Point Dr: water over road
· North Lakeshore Dr: water over road
· South Lakeshore Dr: water over road
· Hwy C is closed at Silvers Rd.
· Water is over Hwy B at Huster

MoDOT has initiated sandbagging around critical points at the Lincoln Shields access road and has closed Hwy 94 at West Alton; traffic is diverted to the Saale Rd. detour. Hwy 94 is restricted to one lane between Portage des Sioux and the Ameren Plant, due to sandbagging operations on that section of the levee.

Residences in the Kampville and Alta Villa areas are inaccessible.  Golden Eagle Ferry has closed. Winfield Ferry will not open until further notice

For closure and cancellation information, call the St. Charles County Parks information hotline at 636-949-7475.

St. Peters is reporting flooding along Dardenne Creek, but there are no road closures. Six city parks and Lakeside 370 Park are closed.
