St. Clair, MO (KSDK) - A one car crash Monday evening in Franklin County has seriously injured three men who were in the car when it collided east of St. Clair.
Missouri Highway Patrol troopers say just before 9:00 p.m. last night, the westbound car driven by a 28 year old St. Clair man, left Mill Hill Road just east of the Bruns Bridge, drove up and over an embankment, and slammed into a tree.
Lewis was taken to St. Anthony's Medical Center for emergency treatment of his injuries.
Two passengers in the car, 48 year old Stephen Cox, and 31 year old Joseph Temares, both of St. Clair were also seriously injured in the collision.
Cox was airlifted to Mercy Hospital in Creve Coeur, and Temares was taken to the same facility by ground ambulance.
Troopers say the driver was cited for drunk driving, assault, and driving with a suspended license.
