Antonio Austin accused of beating victim through open car window

CASEYVILLE, Ill. (KSDK) - An East St. Louis man is accused of beating a man through an open car window at a gas station in Caseyville.

Police were called to Belleville Memorial Hospital Friday, March 29 to talk to a victim about a battery that happened at a gas station on State Route 157 near Interstate 64.

The victim said he had been hit multiple times through an open car window after an argument.

On Tuesday, 32-year-old Antonio M. Austin was charged with aggravated battery.

Austin is not in custody. He is described as African-American with black hair, brown eyes, standing 5'7" tall, and weighing approximately 155 pounds. He may be in the East St. Louis or St. Louis County area.

Anyone with information regarding Austin's whereabouts is asked to call the Caseyville Police Department's dispatch center at 618-277-3500 or a local law enforcement agency.
