ST. LOUIS COUNTY (KSDK) - We have an update to a 5 on Your Side report about a seepage problem that's been going on for more than a decade in a St. Louis County subdivision.

It's believed that gasoline from an old gas station caused the problem in Northgate Estates.

Neighbors turned to 5 on Your Side when they didn't get any answers from state and local agencies.

The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District vowed to get to the bottom of the problem, and an MSD representative met with a group of neighbors Thursday night.

"The theory is that there is no human concern with the contamination, but people living next to this contamination, have an odor particularly in the summer, like gas fumes," said David Trampe

We'll keep you posted on what happens.
