Creve Coeur, MO (KSDK) - Nobody was hurt, but a sport utility vehicle that collides with a backhoe on Lindbergh Boulevard early today was heavily damaged.
Police were called to the location in Creve Coeur about 1:20 a.m. Friday after the driver of the SUV crashed into the back end of a Missouri American Water Company backhoe that was being moved from the site prior to the collision.
No immediate word on why the driver of the SUV didn't see the heavy equipment prior to the crash.
The collision sent the backhoe into a nearby stone wall, however damage to the equiment was minimal.
Northbound lanes of Lindbergh at Tealbrook were blocked for a time while police investigated the incident.
