ST. LOUIS (KSDK) - The 2016 Olympic Swimming Trials could be coming to St. Louis. The final announcement will be made at 5 p.m. Saturday.
St. Louis, Omaha, Nebraska and San Antonio, Texas are the three finalist cities.
If St. Louis is selected, the Edward Jones Dome would be transformed into a temporary indoor swimming facility with two large pools.
Omaha has hosted the previous two trials.
More than 164,000 fans attended the event last year.
The St. Louis Sports Commission said it would be a big deal because it's eight nights on national TV and a $40-million economic impact.
