SHILOH, Ill. (KSDK) - A man was attacked while waiting for a fellow employee outside a popular dining spot in Shiloh. Illinois early Monday.
Police have released few details about the attack which occurred just before 1:00 a.m. Monday at the 54th Street Grill & Bar on Green Mount Crossing Drive off Interstate 64.
While on the scene, an employee told a NewsChannel 5 photographer he was closing the business or the night while a co-worker was waiting outside for a ride home.
That's when the victim, a 26-year-old line cook, was approached from behind and shoved. The victim received stitches for cuts to the head.
The victim tells NewsChannel 5 nothing was missing.
Police say a person of interest has been located and is being questioned.
Illinois State Police and several surrounding departments are assisting Shiloh detectives in the investigation.
