(CNN) - The FBI Agents Association is calling on President Obama to nominate representative Mike Rogers as director of the bureau.
The Michigan Republican is a former agent and heads the House Intelligence Committee. Rogers says he's willing to serve in whatever capacity and is all about keeping America safe.
The position of FBI director is a 10 year post. Current FBI Director Robert Mueller served an extra two years at the request of the president.
No word on who the president will choose as the new director.
