WENTZVILLE, Mo. (KSDK) - Police are not saying why three Wentzville area schools were placed on "heightened security" Wednesday afternoon.
Police would not call the event a lockdown, but they were keeping people from entering or exiting Wentzville Middle School, Holt High and Heritage Elementary.
During the "heightened security" event, classroom activity went on as normal inside all the buildings.
Police have not disclosed why the schools were placed on alert.
