ST. LOUIS (KSDK) - Groups marched down Market Street in downtown St. Louis Sunday, marking the 125th anniversary of the Annie Malone May Day Parade.
The parade was originally held in the Greater Ville neighborhood, and has moved several times since.
Aztie Hicks has not attended the parade in ten years, but this year she came to watch her grandchildren march in the parade.
Hicks said it's a great way to teach young people about giving back to the community.
The Annie Malone event is one of the nation's oldest African-American parades, raises money for the Annie Malone Children and Family Service Center.
