ST. LOUIS (KSDK) - After a round of strong storms early Monday morning, additional storms are expected to develop this evening. Some of the storms are expected to be strong to severe.
Thunderstorms are expected to develop across parts of Kansas, Oklahoma and southwest Missouri later today into this evening. Those storms will move northeast and may produce severe weather across our area later this evening or overnight.
The Storm Prediction Center has outlooked the entire Newschannel Five viewing area for the potential of severe weather. This includes the potential for damaging winds, hail and possibly even tornadoes.
A Flash Flood Watch is also in effect for much of the Ozarks including Phelps and Dent counties through tonight.
