CLAYTON, Mo. (KSDK) - A man running from police was arrested inside the St. Louis County Police Headquarters when he ran inside the building.

Police say the 39-year-old was pulled over for a traffic violation in the 7800 block of Forsyth around 2 p.m. Wednesday.

The officer asked the man to exit the vehicle, and as he complied, police say he pushed the officer aside and started running east in the 7800 block of Forsyth before heading south through an alley and making his way onto S. Central Avenue.

The suspect is said to have continued running west in the 7900 block of Forsyth and then ran inside the St. Louis County Police headquarters. He was arrested without further incident by the officer who pulled him over and chased him.

Clayton summonses were issued to the suspect, and he was later released.

No one was injured.
