St. Louis (KSDK)--When Stan Musial died he left a legend in St. Louis. He also left a three-acre Ladue estate behind. It officially hits the market Wednesday. The list price is just shy of $1.8 million.
Inside, the 5,248 square foot home there are 4 bedrooms and 7 bathrooms. The zoned lot includes a 4-car garage, a huge patio, and a pool. But, inside you'll find many pieces of memorabilia including several statues of Stan the Man and his harmonica resting on the piano.
"I think some of his things in the house, just give a great feel of the family that lived here and enjoyed this house for 40 plus years," said listing agent, Joan Schnoebelen.
Musial died peacefully at home in January but the realtors don't think that will deter potential buyers.
"Everyone thinks the world of Stan Musial, so what a great spirit, what a great karma, what a great feel," Schnoebelen said.
Stan Musial was the second owner of this 50 year old home. How will they weed out the nosy baseball enthusiasts with no intention of buying the house? Showings are private, by appointment only and the listing agents must meet.
