Riverton, IL (KSDK)-Storm damage forced hundreds of people from their homes in an Illinois town Monday night.
About 600 people live in the Lincoln Place Mobile Home Park in Riverton, about 100 miles northeast of St. Louis.
The storm blew the roofs off of mobile homes and the park has been evacuated until power can be restored there. No one was seriously hurt.
A shelter has been set up at Riverton High School for people who need help.
Police will be patrolling the mobile home park overnight to prevent looters from taking anything.
Meteorologists do not think the damage was caused by a tornado, but from straight line winds.
