A district spokesperson tells NewsChannel 5 a tornado damaged the Family Arena, making it unsafe to act as host for the graduations.
Colene McEntee, a spokesperson for the St. Charles County government, said the Family Arena has a big hole in the roof on the street side and lots of water pouring into the concourse.
Meanwhile, St. Charles County Executive Steve Ehlmann declared a state of emergency for the county and has reached out to the State Emergency Management Agency.
