O'FALLON, Mo. (KSDK) - A 17-year-old O'Fallon, Mo. resident has been accused of child molestation twice this year.
O'Fallon police say they received a call on January 25 for a report of child molestation during a sporting event at Fort Zumwalt North High School.
Police say the suspect, identified as 17-year-old Donald A. Knaust, was accused of picking up an 8-year-old boy, carrying him to another room, and inappropriately touching him. The boy was able to get away.
Knaust was arrested and charged with child molestation for that incident.
On June 3, police received a call about child molestation that happened between May 1 and June 1 in the 1400 block of Garnet Drive and in the 200 block of Crystal Ridge Drive. Knaust was accused of having sex with another 8-year-old boy on two occasions. He was out on bond for the previous charges.
Knaust has now been charged with two counts of first-degree child molestation, false imprisonment, first-degree attempted statutory sodomy, and two counts of first-degree statutory sodomy-deviate sexual intercourse with a person less than 14-years-old.
Bond is set at $500,000.
