ST. LOUIS (KSDK) - Proposed bridge repair work on westbound Interstate 70 Blanchette Missouri River Bridge slated to begin Monday night has been cancelled, the Missouri Department of Transportation said.
The ramp from westbound Interstate 70 to southbound Fifth Street will scheduled to close for the next three weeks.
According to Linda Wilson Horn, a MoDOT spokeswoman, the I-70 bridge over Fifth Street is supposed to be resurfaced as part of the westbound I-70 Blanchette Missouri River Bridge project.
A rescheduled date has not been announced, Horn said.
Motorists are advised to seek alternate routes to Fifth Street and Veterans Memorial Parkway when the closure does occur. Westbound motorists can avoid the I-70 work altogether by taking the Route 364 Missouri River Bridge crossing and exiting at Arena Parkway to reach Fifth Street.
