ST. CHARLES COUNTY, Mo. (KSDK) - St. Charles County authorities are asking for the public's help in locating an 81-year-old local man who vanished from his home early Monday morning and may be in danger due to lingering medical conditions.
The Alzheimer's Association St. Louis Chapter said the family of James Moon notified police after not hearing from him for more than 24 hours. Moon's family last saw him at his home on Highway Y near O'Fallon, around 5:30 a.m. Monday.
James Moon suffers from dementia and is diabetic, and his family suspects he may be disoriented or unable to find his way home.
Moon was spotted Tuesday afternoon in Lincoln County. Authorities suspect he may be trying to get to Iowa for undisclosed reasons.
