Extra staff will be on hand at the highest traffic MetroLink stations between 6 a.m. and 12 p.m. They will sell ride tickets for cash only. Credit and debit cards will be accepted at the ticket vending machines, with the exception of the Emerson Park station due to a power issue. Riders who plan to board at Emerson Park should purchase passes at another station in advance and validate their tickets Saturday morning before boarding.
North Hanley, Shrewsbury, and Fairview Heights park-and-ride stations will fill quickly, so some riders may want to consider other park-and-ride stations such as the Brentwood I-64 garage or the Swansea, Ill. station.
Beginning Friday some MetroBus routes will be detoured due to downtown road closures. Reroute information is available on Metro's website.
For those who want to make the drive downtown, garages and parking lots have released their race day rates.
