O'FALLON, Ill. (KSDK) - A child who was left in a hot car at least two and a half hours died Thursday night.
O'Fallon, Illinois Police Captain Jeff Wild said they received a call about an infant under the age of two was who left in a vehicle when the temperature was above 90 degrees. It happened in the 300 block of Joy Drive around 5 p.m.
Police said they do not suspect anything suspicious. No one has been taken into custody, but officials will present the case to the state's attorney's office.
Parents are reminded never to leave a child unattended in a vehicle.
