ST. LOUIS COUNTY (KSDK) - A 7-year-old Bridgeton boy may have saved a man's life in a Schnucks aisle over the weekend.
Matthew Frazee was with inside the store with his mother when a woman approached them in a panic.
"She had two cell phones in her hand and she's like can you call 911, I don't know where I am," said Cindy Frazee.
The man the panicked woman was with had collapsed in the aisle. Cindy Frazee called 911 but unbeknownst to her, Matthew was running to look for help.
"I wasn't paying attention to Matthew and all of a sudden he comes down with these firefighters following him," she said.
Matthew found three firefighters grocery shopping and grabbed their attention. They treated the man and waited for the ambulance.
"I thought, if I was that man I wouldn't like to die," said Matthew.
Firefighters were unable to tell NewsChannel 5 about the man's condition, but Matthew and his family hope one day they will get to meet the man Matthew helped save that day.
