ST. LOUIS (KSDK) - A local elementary school was placed on lockdown as a precaution Tuesday morning following an anonymous threat.
A spokesperson for Confluence Academy said the school received a phone call around 10:15 a.m. that someone was on their way to the campus in the 3100 block of Meramec Street with a gun. Police were notified and placed the school on lockdown immediately.
Authorities did not locate a gun or an armed person on or around campus. The school, which caters to third through eighth graders, will remain on lockdown until further notice.
School parents will be contacted and receive letters detailing the situation.
