FLORISSANT, Mo. (KSDK) - The St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney's Office charged a 22-year-old woman last week for allegedly breaking her 11-month-old son's arm while at their Florissant home.
According to Officer Andy Haarmann, a spokesman for the Florissant Police Department, the incident occurred June 18 at a home in the 200 block of Saint Daniel Lane.
Prosecutors said Honkom, who was alone with the boy at the time, twisted his arm with such force that it broke. The woman brought the child to Children's Hospital where doctors notified police and the Missouri Department of Social Services after determining the injuries were caused by absue.
Honkom was charged with second-degree assault on June 25. She remains jailed on $10,000 bond.
