Baron Calmese Jr. Piggy Bank Theft
Clayton, MO (KSDK) - A north St. Louis County man who got a three day reprieve from learning his punishment, found out Monday he'll spend the next seven years in prison.
31 year old Baron Calmese was issued the prison term by Judge Gloria Clark Reno for guilty pleas Calmese entered in two cases, including a stealing charge for taking over $500.00 from his four year old nephew's piggy bank last July.
Investigators say Calmese was visiting his sister's home when he asked to borrow two dollars in quarters. The woman told Calmese he could get the coins from the child's piggy bank.
However, Calmese emptied the bank instead, then spent the boys money on drugs and prostitutes.
Court records show Calmese also pleaded guilty to an unrelated burglary and stealing case for crimes in St. Louis County last December while he was waiting trial for stealing his nephew's savings.
