JEFFERSON COUNTY, MO (KSDK) - A High Ridge man is dead after crashing his motorcycle Sunday.

The accident happened around 12:30 a.m. Sunday on High Ridge Boulevard just east of Antire Road.

The Missouri Highway Patrol says Michael Mann, 40, failed to negotiate a curve in the road, lost control of his 2009 Kawasaki ZX10 and crashed into an SUV. He was rushed to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Nobody else was injured. It is unclear if the driver of the motorcycle was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.

The 45-year-old driver of the SUV was taken into custody at the scene on suspicion of driving while intoxicated.
