ST. LOUIS (KSDK) - Crews have started tearing down a historic building in downtown St. Louis.
The Cupples 7 building at 11th and Spruce streets was condemned five years ago. Since that initial ruling, the roof has collapsed.
Engineers believe the building is in "imminent danger," and say it must be torn down.
Spruce Street has been blocked off to cars and pedestrians for nearly two years due to the fear of falling debris.
