Triple shooting in Wells Goodfellow neighborhood leaves man dead

St. Louis, MO (KSDK) - Three people were shot in a north St. Louis neighborhood late Monday, leaving one man dead and two other people injured.

Police report the violence unfolded outside a home in the 2700 block of Semple Avenue in the Wells Goodfellow neighborhood around 10:45 p.m. last night.

Authorities say a group of three people were visiting outside the home when two unknown men approached from a gangway and opened fire.

All three of the victims of the attack were struck by flying bullets before the two gunmen fled on foot.

Investigators say a 33 year old man died of his injuries shortly after arriving at an area hospital.  The other two victims, a 25 year old woman was shot in the leg and a 29 year old man was grazed in his leg by another bullet.

Police have no physical description on the attackers and a motive remains unknown at this time.
