Fenton Pawn Shop pillaged by masked burglar, caught on video

Fenton, MO (KSDK) - St. Louis County Police are investigating the burglary of a pawn shop in Fenton overnight.

Investigators were called to the business in the 400 block of Highway 30, also known as Gravois Road, around 12:45 a.m. Thursday morning.

That's where officers discovered a broken glass door into the Fenton pawn Shop.  One inside, police also discovered two display cases that had been smashed and looted of their merchandise.

A man who told NewsChannel-5 on the scene that he was the owner of the shop, said he estimated a total in excess of $15,000.00 in gold chains and assorted gold jewelry was stolen in the break-in.

The store surveillance tape shows the bandit wearing a nylon mask and smashing his way into the store and into the glass cases where the valuables were stored.

No arrests at this time.
