Fox & Friends host Brian Kilmeade accidentally threw a basketball at a toddler's face on Thursday morning. Tears, and viral video magic, ensued.
Internet free-throw sensation Titus was showing off his form during the program and was on a hot streak when Kilmeade tried to feed him the ball.
That's what I imagine it was like when Michael Jordan would pass the ball to Kwame Brown during practice.
Kilmeade's crime wasn't throwing the ball to the baby. I can see getting caught up in the moment and assuming the kid could catch an easy pass. He can hit free throws, after all. Dwight Howard can't do that, but he can still catch.
No, the biggest issue was in Kilmeade's reaction. He acted like it was the baby's fault, as if young Titus should have the dexterity and hand-eye coordination to snag an incoming ball from mid-air. The apology wasn't immediate. When it did come, it wasn't sincere. Basketball-playing babies deserve better when they're interrupted on live cable television.
The rest of the Fox & Friends had a good time with the incident later in the show.
