St. Louis amnesty program to expand

ST. LOUIS (KSDK) - A program that allows certain people with arrest warrants to avoid jail time is expanding in St. Louis.

Thousands of people have taken advantage of the Warrant Amnesty program over the past few years.

This year, people who owe outstanding child support payments will also be eligible for help.

The amnesty days allow people with outstanding warrants to re-engage the courts without fear of arrest.

Misdemeanor warrant amnesty days:
Saturday, Aug. 3 from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m. at St. Louis Community College Meramec
Wednesday, Aug. 7 from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m. at St. Louis Community College Florissant Valley
Saturday, Aug. 10 from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m. at St. Louis Community College Forest Park

Child support amnesty days:
Saturday, Aug. 17 from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m. at Better Family Life Cultural, Education and Business Center on Page Blvd.
Wednesday, Aug. 21 from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m. at Better Family Life Cultural, Education and Business Center
Saturday, Aug. 31 from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m. at Better Family Life Cultural, Education and Business Center
