WARRENTON, Mo. (KSDK) - Two people, including a pedestrian were seriously injured Tuesday night in a Warren County crash north of Warrenton.
Investigators say a previous collision is what ignited the crash that left a woman severely injured when she was hit by the same car she had gotten out of.
Missouri Highway Patrol troopers say the crash occurred just before 9:30 p.m. Tuesday on eastbound Township Line Road, west of Highway 47.
Jennifer Graves, 32, of Warrenton, was in a car driven by Aaron Wyrick of Warrenton that stopped on the road to check on an accident just ahead of them.
A minivan approaching the scene also stopped behind the car that Graves exited, when an eastbound pick-up truck failed to stop, colliding with the minivan and sending that vehicle into the back of the car Graves had been in.
The impact sent the lead car into Graves who was slammed to the pavement. She was airlifted to Mercy Hospital St. Louis with serious injuries.
The driver of the minivan, 58 year old Deborah Hughes of Warrenton also suffered serious injuries. Two of three teenagers in the pick-up truck involved were also injured and taken to area hospitals.
The investigation continues.
