TOWN & COUNTRY, Mo. (KSDK) - The Town and Country Zoning and Planning Commission voted unanimously to deny the development of an assisted living facility near Mason and Clayton roads.

More than 150 angry residents came to the meeting at city hall Wednesday night to protest the development.

The meeting lasted nearly four hours and allowed dozens of frustrated residents to speak during the public comment portion.

The developer of the 4-story, 150-unit property, Allegro Senior Living, had no comment regarding the decision.
