GREAT FALLS, Mont. (KRTV/CNN) - A woman was hospitalized after reportedly falling from a ride at the Montana State Fair Tuesday night.
Witnesses say the woman fell more than eight feet from one of the carts on the ride called The Zipper, and landed on her head. Initial reports indicate she was unconscious.
Officials from Mighty Thomas Carnival, the company which operates the rides at the fair, said details on what exactly happened are still vague.
"My understanding is that our crew was unloading passengers and there were two passengers in one of the seats. One was able to get out normally and the other one somehow tripped or got tangled up with her feet and fell," said John Hanschen, owner of Thomas Carnivals, Inc.
The woman was hospitalized but the nature and extent of her injuries have not been disclosed.
